Cheongsong-gun held the opening ceremony for the 2024 Gyeongbuk Farmers' Academy Field-Specialized Education Program (Apple).
At the opening ceremony, an orientation for the On-site Specialized Training Course (Apple) was held, followed by a special lecture titled "Agricultural Great Transformation with the Power of Gyeongbuk Farmers' Academy!" by Jo Hwan-cheol, Head of Education at Gyeongbuk Farmers' Academy.
This On-site Specialized Training Course (Apple), conducted as a pilot project of the Gyeongbuk Farmers' Academy, was planned to cultivate professional fruit tree personnel through the transfer of advanced apple cultivation techniques from leading farmers (Agricultural Masters). The program involves visiting trainees' farms (in Cheongsong) to provide customized on-site consulting for each farm, enhancing apple cultivation skills through comparative tours of leading farmers' farms, and strengthening the competitiveness of Cheongsong apples.
From January 3 to 19, recruitment was conducted targeting farmers in Cheongsong-gun with 2 to 5 years of apple cultivation experience. After interviews on January 25, 11 trainees were finally selected out of 14 applicants.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, "I hope this on-site specialized training will be an opportunity to improve farmers' agricultural technology and management capabilities," and added, "We will continue to expand effective agricultural education that can lead to increased farm income."
