This visit involved touring the e-mobility corporate support infrastructure within the Daema Industrial Complex and discussing local production of industrial complex companies' products in the Philippines.
Currently, when exporting e-mobility products to Southeast Asia, high tariffs are imposed on finished products, causing a significant burden. However, exporting by component units and assembling locally reduces tariffs compared to exporting finished products.
During the visit, companies in the Daema Industrial Complex such as HB and Daepung EV discussed plans to utilize parts produced at the upcoming pilot production support center for local assembly and sale to the LCS Group.
After the discussions, the schedule concluded with a tour of the e-mobility research center and the pilot production support facility, which is scheduled to be completed in March and is a key facility for this project, followed by a visit to Daepung EV.
A Yeonggwang-gun official stated, "Along with the smooth operation of the pilot production support center, we will actively promote the e-mobility global innovation special zone, scheduled to be announced in the first half of this year, and do our best to support the overseas export of Yeonggwang e-mobility products."
