Busan Gijang-gun Jangan-eup, a Place of Harmony: The 4th Jangan Jeongwol Daeboreum Daljip Festival Held

The Jang-an Eup Administrative Welfare Center in Gijang-gun, Busan (Eupjang Park Kyung-hee) announced that the Jang-an Eup Saemaeul Association, together with the Jang-an Eup Saemaeul Women's Association, will hold the "4th Jang-an Jeongwol Daeboreum Daljip Festival" on the 24th in the Jwacheon Market village area of Jang-an Eup.

This Jeongwol Daeboreum Daljip Festival offers various programs for local residents to enjoy the disappearing traditional culture and to communicate and harmonize together.


From 1 PM, traditional activities such as ▲kite flying and folk games ▲free tasting of rice cake soup ▲Jang-an Daljip Singing Contest ▲Jisinbalgi (ritual to pray for the community’s health and well-being) and writing wish notes will take place. Starting from 4 PM, the main Daljip burning event will begin, with the ignition of the Daljip scheduled around 5 PM.


Kim Jin-ho, president of the Jang-an Eup Saemaeul Association, said, “I hope this event will serve as an opportunity to reflect on and continue our traditional culture such as Daljip burning,” and added, “We will make thorough preparations to ensure this becomes a place for harmony and development among the residents of Jang-an Eup.”


On the same day, the 24th, the 13th Jeongwol Daeboreum Daljip event will also be held along the Cheolma Stream area in Cheolma-myeon, hosted by the Cheolma-myeon Administrative Welfare Center and the Cheolma-myeon Youth Association, with the Daljip ignition scheduled for 6:20 PM.
