Socar announced on the 23rd that it will participate in the '2024 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa with Travel Month' by adding exclusive discount benefits.
This event is part of a government-supported project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, designed to revitalize regional tourism. The government plans to distribute a total of 110,000 accommodation discount coupons worth 30,000 KRW each, usable for reservations of accommodations exceeding 50,000 KRW in non-metropolitan areas until the 31st of next month. During this period, if you book uniform-priced accommodation products by price range in non-metropolitan areas through the Socar application, an additional 30,000 KRW accommodation discount coupon will be applied, allowing you to receive a maximum discount benefit worth up to 70,000 KRW.
In particular, all customers who make a reservation will receive an exclusive benefit of a free 24-hour Socar car-sharing rental coupon (one coupon per reservation, applicable for rentals of 30 hours or more), enabling convenient transportation along with accommodation at a discounted price in a one-stop service.
To use this, after receiving the 2024 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa discount coupon (one per person) via the banner in the Socar app according to the event date, you can search and book accommodations in non-metropolitan areas of your choice, and the Socar exclusive benefits will be automatically applied at the payment stage. The 30,000 KRW discount coupon can be issued on the Socar app from the 27th of this month until the 31st of next month, for about five weeks. The stay period is available for about seven weeks from the 27th of this month to April 14th.
Additionally, through the 'Socar and KTX' menu within the Socar app, you can search, book, and use KTX trains and car-sharing vehicles at Socar zones near the destination at discounted prices. Through the '2024 Travel Month' promotion running until the 31st of next month, you can use KTX tickets on all lines at a 50% discount on weekdays and 30% on weekends, and customers who complete train use will receive up to 30,000 points of credit, usable like cash in the Socar app, as an exclusive additional benefit.
Meanwhile, through the three Korea Accommodation Sale Festas held last year, Socar customers were found to have used hotels, pensions, resorts, etc., located in Gangwon-do, Busan, Gyeongbuk, Jeju, Jeonnam, and Chungnam regions at an average discount of 70,000 KRW. The age group with the highest usage was people in their 20s at 42.1%, followed by those in their 30s (32.2%) and those 40 and older (24.7%), with males accounting for 63.2%, higher than females at 36.8%.
