Unique Entrance Ceremony at Dongmyeong University Where Even Pets 'Enroll'

Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) held this year's entrance ceremony and orientation on the 22nd at the Busan KBS Hall.

At the entrance ceremony for new students of the College of Companion Animals (Dean Kim Su-jin), a companion dog entrance ceremony was also held.

The companion dogs, who will perform various missions such as lifesaving and guiding the visually impaired, attracted attention by appearing with handkerchiefs like elementary school freshmen.

The main dogs are those who served as representatives of the ‘Cyber University Companion Dog Students’ for the 2023 academic year. They participated in the entrance ceremony together with trainer Park Soon-tae, who has experience such as winning the IRO International Lifesaving Dog Association Championship and the National Lifesaving Dog Competition.

Trainer Park Soon-tae is scheduled to be appointed as an adjunct professor in the Department of Dog Grooming and Behavior Correction at Dongmyung University.

Dongmyung University plans to start a free trial operation of the on-campus dog playground ‘Dongsup’ as a city landmark from March 18, Monday to Saturday.

Dongmyung University established and has been operating the first standalone College of Companion Animals nationwide since March last year. The first College of Companion Animal Hospital in the Busan-Ulsan area will also be established on the Dongmyung University campus.

The College of Companion Animals at Dongmyung University operates promising departments such as ▲Department of Companion Animal Health ▲Department of Dog Grooming and Behavior Correction ▲Department of Companion Animal Industry (Pet Food Major, Companion Animal Industry Design Major).
