SPOEX is the largest sports and leisure industry exhibition in Korea. Along with the China Sports Goods Expo and the Taiwan International Sporting Goods Show, it is considered one of the three major sports exhibitions representing Asia.

This year's exhibition has increased its participation scale by 22% compared to the previous year. A total of 298 companies will operate 1,625 booths, showcasing excellent products and technologies in various fields such as health and fitness, sports goods and apparel, underwater and water sports, sports nutrition, outdoor and camping, bicycles, and extreme sports.

A special pavilion for the 'Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics,' supported by the French Embassy in Korea, will also be set up. The pavilion will feature various events including an exhibition of commemorative coins promoting the Olympics and Paralympics, a photo zone to cheer for national representatives, and an experience zone for sport climbing, a newly adopted event in the Paris Olympics. Consultations will also be held to expand cultural, sports, and tourism exchanges and trade between Korea and France.

As a side event of the exhibition, KITA will hold a 'Global Sports Buyer Invitation Export Consultation.' The consultation will involve 18 buyers from 8 countries, including a state-owned enterprise under the Chinese Olympic Committee specializing in sports facility construction and management, and Toby’s Sports, a sports distribution company from the Philippines, who will conduct export consultations with 119 domestic companies.

Kim Ki-hyun, Head of KITA’s Global Cooperation Division, said, "At SPOEX, you can experience the latest trends in the sports leisure industry all in one place," adding, "This year’s exhibition has been prepared as a festival-like event of the sports industry where visitors can directly participate and enjoy, in celebration of the year of the Olympic and Paralympic Games."

He continued, "KITA plans to continuously support the export expansion of excellent Korean sports and leisure companies," and added, "We will actively promote outstanding Korean products and services worldwide, including operating a Korean pavilion at the FIBO sports exhibition in Cologne, Germany, scheduled for April."
