Supporting the Enhancement of Digital Capabilities in Local Communities
LS Group announced on the 22nd that it has opened the 'LS K-High-Tech Platform' at LS Miraewon in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. The purpose is to support the enhancement of digital capabilities in the local community.

Its goal is to improve capabilities in new technology fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and secondary batteries by sharing related facilities and equipment as a regional hub and operating customized educational programs for demand groups such as employees of small and medium-sized enterprises and job-seeking youth.
Through this platform, LS shares advanced technology convergence-related infrastructure with the local community. It also operates educational programs such as Digital Camp and LS Big Data School to nurture future talents who will accelerate digital innovation. In this process, LS plans to strengthen the digital capabilities of LS Miraewon, the group's talent development cradle, and focus on nurturing LS Futurists in the future.
As part of this project, LS Group held a camp on the 14th to increase the digital technology affinity of youth in the Anseong area. On the 19th, it launched the 'LS Big Data School,' a practical talent development education program in data analysis and AI for university students and job-seeking youth. Two cohorts will be operated annually, aiming to nurture about 80 practical talents each year.
Hong Seok-chang, head of LS Miraewon, said, "Through the LS K-High-Tech Platform project, we will support the enhancement of digital capabilities across various groups within the region," adding, "We will play a pivotal role in establishing a framework for growth based on digital technology and for communication and collaboration."
Meanwhile, Koo Ja-eun, chairman of LS Group, stated at 'CES 2024,' the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition held last month in Las Vegas, USA, "No matter what future comes, we must establish and prepare a business system capable of responding sufficiently in the short term of 10 years or in the long term beyond that through various collaborations and technological innovations such as AI and software (SW)."
