Understanding Government Budgeting Process and Guidelines for Preparing National Fund Project Materials... Practical Training
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, conducted training to enhance the capabilities of all employees in securing national funds on the 20th at the county office's large conference room.
According to the county on the 22nd, Lee Seon-ho, former Budget General Manager of Jeollanam-do Office and a former official of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, was invited to give a lecture titled "Understanding the Government Budget Process and Strategies for Securing National Funds."
The training was designed around practical cases that are easy for employees to understand and apply in their work, including the national budget formulation process, nine key strategies for securing national funds, and case studies, which garnered great interest and enthusiastic responses from the staff.

Lee Seon-ho, Budget General Manager of Jeollanam-do Office, provided detailed explanations on essential methods that local governments must know, such as △the Ministry of Economy and Finance budget review process △National Assembly review process △how to highlight the necessity of projects △compliance with preliminary procedures △guidelines for preparing project explanation materials △preparing documents from the perspective of the Ministry of Economy and Finance as the reviewer, not from the standpoint of the requesting local government.
He also emphasized the importance of regularly visiting central government ministries, including the Ministry of Economy and Finance, to actively communicate and gather extensive information, and to discover projects that align with government national agendas and policy directions, persuading with the necessity and validity of the projects.
Before the training, Woo Hong-seop, Deputy Governor of Jindo, expressed gratitude for the employees' efforts, saying, "Last year, Jindo-gun secured 135.8 billion KRW in national funds, more than three times the 8-year average of 40 billion KRW, achieved a 2nd grade in the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's integrity evaluation, won the grand prize in the comprehensive civil service evaluation, and received the top award in the proactive administration best practice competition. I hope you continue to maintain organic relations with Jeollanam-do and central government ministries and do your best to secure national funds for next year as well."
