Advanced Program to Select a Total of 15 Companies

Korea Social Investment announced on the 21st that it is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘2024 KOICA CTS (Creative Technology Solution) Seed 0 Early Startup Commercialization Education Program (Advanced)’ in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). This program is a global education and accelerating program for prospective entrepreneurs and early startups planning to solve social problems in developing countries with innovative technology and expand their business through global entry of products and services.
The eligible applicants are prospective entrepreneurs or early startups established within 7 years who want to solve social problems in Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Indonesia), South Asia (India), Africa (Kenya), and Latin America (Colombia) through innovative business and technology utilization. Teams planning to apply for the CTS Seed 1 program or possessing basic global business competencies are eligible to apply. The recruitment fields cover 12 areas including science and technology innovation, urban development, water, energy, climate action, transportation, rural development, education, health, governance, gender equality, and human rights.
The program is divided into basic and advanced levels. This advanced program plans to select a total of 15 companies. Selected companies will receive one-on-one business diagnosis, CTS business plan writing education and consulting, one-on-one business mentoring, support for creating English business plans and pitching training, senior company special lectures, and networking opportunities. To ensure effective support, consulting on the participating companies’ business strategies and business models will be conducted beforehand. After the program ends, outstanding companies selected will receive additional points in the next year’s CTS Seed 1 written screening and will be given opportunities for local research trips to the target countries.
Applications can be submitted on the Korea Social Investment website until the 18th of next month. Lee Sun-yeol, CEO of Korea Social Investment, said, “Through systematic support of this program, we will nurture excellent startups that can tackle global challenges.”
