"Kakao Shopping Achieves Highest Sales with Single Item"
Design and Reasonable Price Are Key Popular Factors
AtHome's food waste disposer, 'Minix The Blender,' has seen its sales triple within four months of its launch.
AtHome announced on the 21st that sales of Minix The Blender increased by 298% last month compared to its launch in October of last year.
At the time of its launch, Minix The Blender sold over 2,000 units in 79 hours on Kakao Shopping. An AtHome representative explained, "It set the highest sales record as a single product among Kakao Shopping items," adding, "During a live broadcast on the 5th, about 920 units were sold in one hour, setting a new record for hourly sales since its launch." The newly introduced Sand Beige color last month sold out within five minutes of the live broadcast.
AtHome cited factors behind Minix The Blender's popularity as its "perfect size for small kitchens," "excellent grinding and drying power," "trendy design," and "reasonable price."
Choi Minho, Brand Manager (BM), said, "As the weather gets hotter, demand for food waste disposers is expected to surge further, so we will focus on securing as much inventory as possible."
