KB Kookmin Card announced on the 21st that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Information Society Agency (NIA) and the startup Wello to promote the ‘Youth Policy Customized Platform’ project.
The Youth Policy Customized Platform is a project jointly promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Digital Platform Government Committee, and NIA, and is one of the leading models of the digital platform government. Through Wello, a Gov-Tech startup specializing in public sector technological innovation based on policy data, the platform enables integrated youth policy inquiries, customized recommendations, and easy applications.
On the morning of the 21st, Lee Hojun, Head of KB Kookmin Card Platform Business Group, Kim Yuri Anna, CEO of Wello, and Park Wonjae, Deputy Director of NIA, signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the 'Youth Policy Customized Platform' in the main conference room of the National Information Society Agency (NIA) in Jung-gu, Seoul (from left).
This project is scheduled to be serviced from March through KB Kookmin Card’s platform, KB Pay, to revitalize youth support policies. Through the MOU, each party will mutually cooperate not only on the platform service but also to promote the use of the digital platform government leading project.
Taking this agreement as an opportunity, the existing Wello service (personalized policy service) will be implemented within KB Pay to also provide a ‘Policy Support Fund Notification Service.’ By comparing the personal profile information entered during Wello membership registration on KB Pay with Wello’s policy data (approximately 100,000 cases provided by over 1,500 institutions), KB Kookmin Card customers can quickly check the policy support funds optimized for themselves.
Lee Ho-jun, Head of the Platform Business Group at KB Kookmin Card, said, “This agreement is significant in that it created a win-win cooperation structure where KB Pay secures policy support-related service content and Wello gains a promotional channel through KB Pay.” He added, “We will strive to continuously practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management through win-win cooperation with other startups in the future.”
