On this day, the event will begin at 11 a.m. with the Gumo Daeje ceremony at the Gumo Altar in the grassy plaza of Geumosan Mountain, praying for the safety of citizens and regional development. At 5:30 p.m., a Daljip Burning event will take place on the riverbank in front of Parking Lot 1 at Nakdonggang Sports Park.

The Gumo Daeje will be officiated by Mayor Kim Jang-ho as the chief officiant, City Council Chairman Ahn Ju-chan as the second officiant, and Gumi Cultural Center Director Ra Tae-hoon as the third officiant. Other guests and citizens attending will join in praying with one heart for a healthy and prosperous year for all Gumi residents.

Additionally, attendees will be treated to folk performances such as the Salpuri dance, and will have the opportunity to directly experience traditional seasonal customs like sharing Daeboreum foods and playing Yutnori.

The Daljip Burning event, held for the first time in eight years, is a traditional seasonal custom where a bonfire is lit on the Daljip (moon house) on the night of Jeongwol Daeboreum when the moon rises. Citizens will write their wishes on paper and attach them to the Daljip before lighting it, praying for a safe and successful year ahead.
