Become a Coding Instructor!... Guro-gu Runs 4th Industrial Revolution Talent Development Program

Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is operating a 4th Industrial Revolution talent development program for Guro-gu residents and office workers.

An official from the district stated, "To provide opportunities for self-development and new career choices, we have prepared courses for obtaining Level 1 certificates for Art Coding Instructor and Early Childhood Coding Instructor," adding, "Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for 20 people per course starting from March 4."

The Art Coding Instructor course will be held from April 1 to May 21 at the Guro-gu Office Informatization Education Center. The course includes learning programming concepts and algorithms, as well as practical sessions where participants create digital outputs of art pieces.

The Early Childhood Coding Instructor course will take place from May 22 to July 11 at the Guro-gu Office Lifelong Learning Center. Participants will learn the principles of coding and artificial intelligence using coding robots and will also have the opportunity to freely code with unplugged robots that can be used without a computer or smartphone.

Both courses consist of 15 sessions, held twice a week for 2 hours each day, with a tuition fee of 20,000 KRW. Students can voluntarily take the certification exam, and the certification issuance fee is separate.

Applications can be submitted online through the Guro Lifelong Learning Center website or by visiting the Education Support Division at the district office.

A Guro-gu official said, "This program will not only help develop skills suited to the current era but also provide opportunities for employment in related fields," and added, "We hope for the active interest of residents."
