The event, held at the Korea Economic Association Conference Center in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was organized to express MFDS's determination to successfully implement the 'Global Leader·Partner·Supporter (GPS)' policy, which leads cooperation among regulatory agencies based on regulatory diplomacy to open export routes for food and drug products. The GPS policy is MFDS's plan to actively support exports, focusing on ▲becoming a global leader regulatory agency (G) ▲expanding regulatory cooperation through international partnerships (P) ▲resolving difficulties for private export support (S).

In the first part of the meeting, titled 'Promise to the People,' Woo Young-taek, Director of Planning and Coordination at MFDS, explained the ministry's global cooperation and export support policies. In the second part, 'Dialogue with the People,' companies shared export-related difficulties and discussed export policies supported by MFDS to help excellent domestic products easily overcome global export regulatory barriers. The final third part featured the unveiling of the new logo for the MFDS GPS policy and a national global vision proclamation ceremony declaring the commitment to global cooperation and export.

MFDS Commissioner Oh Yu-kyung stated, “We will focus on promoting three core strategies: science, field, and cooperation, to make a world where food and drug safety is part of everyday life,” adding, “Through regulatory diplomacy such as the Asia-Pacific Food Regulatory Authorities Symposium (APFRAS), co-hosting the Korea-US AI Medical Products International Symposium (AIRIS), and mutual recognition agreements with major countries, we will actively support the vigorous entry of our excellent products into the global market.”

To further promote the core values of Science, Operation, and Partnership (SOP), MFDS plans to hold a total of three national communication meetings following this event.
