Canadian Woman's Story Gains Attention on TikTok and Other Platforms
A Canadian woman reportedly recovered her wallet, which she dropped into the sea last June, after about eight months. Her story became a hot topic on local social networking services (SNS) such as TikTok.
CHEK News, a regional broadcaster in British Columbia, Canada, shared the story of a woman who lost her wallet in the sea about half a year ago and miraculously found it again. The woman's name is Marcy, and she lives with her husband and pet dog near a beach in the area.

Last June, Marcy lost her wallet while taking a walk on the beach. At the time, her wallet was tucked inside a backpack pocket, but she forgot to zip the pocket, causing the contents to spill into the seawater.
Marcy explained the situation, saying, "I heard the sound of splashing water, but I never dreamed it was the sound of my belongings falling out." She added, "After realizing I lost my wallet, I immediately jumped into the sea to search, but I couldn't find it."
The lost wallet reappeared recently. While walking along the sandy beach with her pet dog, Marcy spotted something familiar among debris washed ashore by the waves.
She told the media, "I immediately knew it was my wallet," and "It was blocking my path." Marcy ran toward the debris and picked up the wallet. According to a short video she posted on TikTok and other platforms, the wallet appeared to be in good condition except for being wet and covered in sand.
Marcy said that the cash, cards, and ID inside the wallet were still in good condition. She added, "The only damaged part of the wallet was the corroded zipper." Overseas netizens who heard her story reacted with surprise, saying things like, "Unbelievable luck," and "I want to know where you bought that wallet. I've never seen such a durable wallet."
