Improvement of Reservation Management Systems at All 6 Locations... Addition of Compensation System for Unsuccessful Members, etc.
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 20th that it will improve the registration system to enhance the satisfaction and convenience of residents using public sports facilities in the area.
This aims to promptly resolve inconveniences experienced by current facility members, thereby expanding opportunities for physical activities and aiding health management.
The sports facilities with improved reservation management systems include all six locations managed by the Dongjak-gu Facilities Management Corporation, such as Heukseok Sports Center, Dongjak Residents Sports Center, and Dongjak Samil Swimming Pool.
First, the registration method for the popular class ‘Aquarobics’ will be supplemented by introducing a ‘Compensation System for Unsuccessful Applicants’ starting from the second quarter of this year, in addition to the existing quarterly full lottery system.
The Compensation System for Unsuccessful Applicants grants members who have not been selected twice consecutively within six months an opportunity to apply for the third session without a separate lottery.
Additionally, the number of classes a person can apply for will increase from one to two, and the frequency of attendance will expand from the existing 1-2 times per week to up to 3 times per week to meet user demand.
To minimize inconvenience caused by congestion during on-site registration periods for unsuccessful applicants, pre-numbered tickets will be distributed before the application starts to reduce waiting times.
For existing members, a new system allowing long-term prepayment registration every 3 or 6 months instead of monthly applications has been established, enabling convenient attendance by registering only twice a year.
Meanwhile, the district is expanding sports infrastructure such as the completion of Daebang-dong Park Golf Course and the construction of Hyeonchung Indoor Badminton Court to allow residents to enjoy leisure activities in daily life.
Furthermore, various classes tailored to user demand will be offered through age-specific specialized exercise programs, public interest programs, and customer management participation channels.
Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, “We have improved the registration system reflecting residents’ demands to enhance the convenience and satisfaction of users of the corporation’s sports facilities,” adding, “We will continue to expand opportunities for residents to enjoy sports in their daily lives and revitalize the local community.”
