On the 21st, the first education session of the year was held at the Gangnam District Residents' Hall auditorium... Lecture on 'Understanding Maintenance Infrastructure and Donation of Facilities' for 300 residents
Four education sessions planned this year for union members and residents... Plans to enhance expertise through staff training on current projects such as Moa Town
Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will hold the first reconstruction maintenance project academy of the year on the 21st from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gangnam-gu Community Center Auditorium.
In line with the active reconstruction projects last year, the district conducted four educational sessions to inform union members and residents about the key contents of each housing maintenance project, receiving great responses. This year, four sessions will again be held to easily explain major issues of maintenance projects through case studies, aiming to minimize discomfort and conflicts among residents during the maintenance project process.
At the session on the 21st, an expert who serves as an instructor at the Seoul City Maintenance Project Academy will be invited to give a lecture on maintenance infrastructure and donation of facilities to 300 union members and residents. Future academies will cover topics such as understanding reconstruction projects and procedures, contractor selection and construction contracts, and tax, accounting, and practical matters at each stage of maintenance projects. Anyone interested in attending the lectures can visit the venue on the day without any prior application process.
Additionally, a session will be arranged for all district office employees to understand recent major reconstruction issues such as the Moa Town project and rapid integrated planning, aiming to enhance expertise on current projects.
Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, “As we enter a new era of major transformation where Gangnam’s urban environmental structure is changing due to large-scale development projects including reconstruction, redevelopment, new government office construction, and the Yeongdong-daero underground space complex development, communication with residents is more important than ever. Regarding reconstruction and redevelopment projects directly related to residents’ lives, we will enhance both the speed and transparency of maintenance projects through regular academy operations.”
