People Power Party Nomination Committee Selects Choi Jae-hyung, Yoon Hee-sook, Jang Sung-min for Single Candidacy... Primary Elections in Mapo-gap, Bundang-eul, Jungseong-dong-eul (Update)

The People Power Party's Nomination Management Committee on the 19th nominated Representative Choi Jae-hyung for Jongno District and former Representative Yoon Hee-sook for Jung-gu Seongdong-gu Gap as sole candidates.


Jung Young-hwan, chairman of the People Power Party's Nomination Management Committee, held the 10th meeting that day and announced 13 sole recommended candidates. In addition to Representative Choi Jae-hyung and former Representative Yoon Hee-sook, Lee Seong-sim, former chairman of the Gwanak District Council, was nominated as the sole candidate for Gwanak-gu Eul. In Busan, Jeong Seong-guk, former president of the Korea Teachers' Union, was nominated for Busan Jin-gu Gap, Park Soo-young, former representative, for Nam-gu Gap, and Kim Dae-sik, former secretary-general of the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, for Sasang-gu.


In Gyeonggi Province, Representative Kim Seong-won was nominated for Dongducheon-si Yeoncheon-gun, Jang Seong-min, former head of the Blue House National Situation Room, for Ansan-si Sangnok-gu Gap, Kim Myeong-yeon, former representative, for Ansan-si Danwon-gu Gap, and Ham Kyung-woo, former party committee chairman, for Gwangju-si Gap. In Jeonnam, Kim Hyeong-seok, former vice minister, was nominated for Suncheon-si Gwangyang-si Gokseong-gun Gurye-gun Gap, and Lee Jeong-hyun, former Saenuri Party leader, for Suncheon-si Gwangyang-si Gokseong-gun Gurye-gun Eul. Kang Ki-yoon was nominated for Changwon-si Seongsan-gu in Gyeongnam.


Seventeen regions for primary elections were also announced.

In Seoul, primaries will be held in Jung-gu Seongdong-gu Eul (Lee Young, Lee Hye-hoon, Ha Tae-kyung), Eunpyeong-gu Gap (Nam Ki-jung, Oh Jin-young, Hong In-jung), and Mapo-gu Gap (Shin Ji-ho, Jo Jeong-hoon). In Busan, Jung-gu Yeongdo-gu (Park Seong-geun, Jo Seung-hwan), in Incheon, Yeonsu-gu Eul (Kim Ki-heung, Kim Jin-yong, Min Hyun-joo), and in Ulsan, Nam-gu Eul (Kim Ki-hyeon, Park Maeng-woo), Buk-gu (Park Dae-dong, Jeong Chi-rak) were designated as primary election areas.


In Gyeonggi Province, primaries will be held in Seongnam-si Bundang-gu Eul (Kim Min-su, Kim Eun-hye), Anyang-si Dongan-gu Eul (Sim Jae-cheol, Yoon Ki-chan), Paju-si Eul (Jeon Jeong-il, Jo Byeong-guk, Han Gil-ryong), Gimpo-si Gap (Kim Bo-hyeon, Park Jin-ho), and Guri-si (Na Tae-gin, Jeon Ji-hyun). In Gangwon, Donghae-si Taebaek-si Samcheok-si Jeongseon-gun (Lee Cheol-gyu, Jang Seung-ho), in Chungnam, Cheonan-si Eul (Lee Jeong-man, Jeong Hwang-geun) and Cheonan-si Byeong (Shin Jin-young, Lee Chang-su), Nonsan-si Gyeryong-si Geumsan-gun (Kim Jang-su, Park Seong-gyu), and in Gyeongbuk, Gimcheon-si (Kim Oh-jin, Song Eon-seok) will hold primaries.


Meanwhile, Jang Seong-ho, former dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration at Konkuk University, was nominated for Eunpyeong-gu Eul in Seoul.
