Gangjin-gun Holds Anti-Corruption and Integrity Pledge Ceremony

An Opportunity to Foster a Culture of Integrity and Strengthen Commitment to Integrity

On the 19th, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do held the 2024 Gangjin-gun Anti-Corruption and Integrity Practice Pledge Ceremony at the county office's main conference room.

According to the county on the 19th, the pledge ceremony was organized to encourage all employees to participate in the pledge and to reaffirm their commitment to an anti-corruption and integrity practice, aiming to create a trustworthy and practicing integrity culture in Gangjin.

The Anti-Corruption and Integrity Practice Pledge contains commitments to perform duties with integrity and sincerity according to laws and principles, to prevent corruption in the public service, and to foster a fair and transparent organizational culture. It also includes pledges to block bribery, entertainment, improper orders, and abuse of power, thereby establishing and practicing a clean public service society.

Gang Jin-won, the county governor, stated, “To establish an honest public service culture, public officials should practice integrity based on laws and principles, deeply embrace the integrity and benevolence thoughts left by Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, break away from habitual practices in public service, and take the lead in creating a transparent and trustworthy public service society.”

Gangjin-gun will implement various integrity policies this year to improve its integrity evaluation, including △ delivering integrity messages through YouTube, SNS channels, and AI-based promotions △ all employees’ integrity practice pledge △ reverse mentoring for generational empathy △ mandatory completion of anti-corruption and integrity education △ contest for the year's integrity slogan △ and holding integrity concerts combined with cultural and artistic performances.
