In this Guinness Book, a 'world's most bizarre record' has emerged. The protagonist of this new record is Peter von Tanggen Buskof (39), a Danish man who set the Guinness record by inserting 68 matchsticks into his nose.

On the 15th (local time), Guinness announced that Peter succeeded in inserting 68 matchsticks into his nose. With this, he entered the Guinness World Records as the 'man who inserted the most matchsticks into his nose in the world.' In the photo, Peter is smiling with 34 matchsticks inserted into each nostril.

According to Guinness standards, 'inserting matchsticks into the nose' was considered an "unusual" challenge. In fact, Peter was the first person to attempt this category, easily surpassing the minimum of 45 matchsticks set by Guinness.

He said, "Surprisingly, it didn't hurt much," and added, "I have quite large nostrils, and my skin stretches very well," explaining, "I think these characteristics helped me break the record."

Peter, a Dane, works in office administration and plans to teach sociology at a high school in the future. He came up with the idea of 'inserting matchsticks into the nose' while looking for a 'fun record' to challenge. However, he admitted that the idea itself was chosen 'randomly.'

He also added, "68 is my current peak, but there is a possibility that I will extend the record further in the future."

Having grown up reading Guinness World Records as a child, he said, "I always try to find interesting and unusual aspects of life. When we open our minds, there are many amazing things we can experience, see, and do," emphasizing, "Even if the record is somewhat strange, I hope people can set their own goals and be inspired."
