[Special Stock] SP Soft Highlights Value as Partner of AI Era Pioneer MS

SPSoft has been soaring continuously since its listing on the KOSDAQ market.

As of 10:26 AM on the 19th, SPSoft was trading at 19,590 KRW, up 2,660 KRW (16.47%) compared to the previous trading day. SPSoft entered the KOSDAQ market through a merger with IBKS No.19 SPAC on the 15th and has been surging for three consecutive days. Its market capitalization has exceeded 430 billion KRW.

Founded in 2013, SPSoft provides software solutions based on data connectivity and interaction technologies. It operates various businesses centered on Microsoft (MS) software licensing. The company counts major domestic corporations such as Samsung Electronics, Kakao, and SKT among its clients, and holds a 70% market share in the domestic MS SPLA (Service Provider License Agreement) license market. Up to the third quarter of last year, SPSoft recorded sales of 26.3 billion KRW, operating profit of 4.1 billion KRW, and net profit of 3.7 billion KRW.

SPSoft plans to expand the licensing business of MS’s generative artificial intelligence (AI)-based software program, 'Copilot,' using the funds raised from its listing. Copilot is an MS software integrated with the generative AI ChatGPT. Leveraging its dominant position in the MS software license market, SPSoft aims to take the lead in the generative AI market.

Interest in MS partners is growing in the domestic stock market. CrowdWorks, a cloud partner of Microsoft, also saw its stock price rise on the same day. Hana Securities estimated that CrowdWorks would achieve sales of 36.7 billion KRW and operating profit of 7.3 billion KRW. Researcher Jo Jeong-hyun of Hana Securities analyzed, "They are partners of Naver Cloud and Microsoft Azure Cloud," adding, "Starting next year, the speed of external growth will accelerate further through entry into cloud services."
