0.5%p Interest Rate Discount for First-Time Customers, etc.
SC First Bank announced on the 19th the launch of the ‘SC First Corporate Plus Account,’ a corporate-exclusive account that offers free deposits and withdrawals, provides interest rates up to 2.5% per annum (before tax) linked to transaction performance, and waives fees.
The Corporate Plus Account offers a basic interest rate based on the balance and preferential interest rates linked to transaction performance. For the basic interest rate, 0.10% is applied for balances up to 50 million KRW, 0.50% for balances over 50 million KRW up to 1 billion KRW, and 0.10% for balances exceeding 1 billion KRW.
Preferential interest rates are provided up to a maximum of 2.0 percentage points. The conditions include 0.5 percentage points for first-time bank customers (new account customers within 31 days from the initial customer registration date) for one year from the account opening date, 1.0 percentage point for corporate loan holders, 0.3 percentage points for deposit and withdrawal transaction performance on the account, 0.1 percentage point for login performance on the Business Banking platform (corporate internet banking), and 0.1 percentage point for foreign exchange transaction performance. However, the preferential interest rate conditions apply only to balances between 50 million KRW and 1 billion KRW and are not applicable if the account is closed.
The Corporate Plus Account also waives various fees such as internet banking transfer fees per transaction, balance certificate issuance fees, and cashier’s check issuance fees.
Bae Soon-chang, Deputy Director of the Deposit Products Department at SC First Bank, said, “The Corporate Plus Account enhances competitiveness as a corporate-exclusive demand deposit account by offering fee waiver benefits as well as various preferential interest rate conditions. We expect it to be an essential product for corporate customers considering fund management.”
