Yongin City "Creating 24,500 Local Jobs This Year"

Based on the four major strategies outlined in the comprehensive job policy plan of the 8th local government administration?▲strengthening job support infrastructure ▲customized job support ▲building a sustainable job environment ▲establishing a regional specialized job base through fostering key industries?the city has prepared 10 priority tasks and 210 detailed projects.

The city plans to employ 13,047 people through direct job projects. Additionally, it will support 4,440 individuals with employment counseling, vocational training, and job matching by utilizing employment platforms such as the Job Center and Yongin Women's New Work Center.

Through the development of industrial complexes and attracting companies, 2,667 jobs will be created in the private sector, and 3,640 jobs will be provided in the construction of industrial infrastructure such as social overhead capital (SOC), roads, and water supply and sewage systems. Alongside this, the city will expand jobs through ▲startup support (419 jobs) ▲employment incentives (76 jobs) ▲vocational skill development training (215 jobs).

The city will also prepare various programs to achieve these goals.

It plans to support the operation of Job Centers, Yongin Women's New Work Center, and university job centers within the region, and collaborate with private companies and partner organizations to hold recruitment events such as job fairs.

Starting this year, the city will support the 'Job Connection' service, which visits vocational training facilities and welfare centers to provide employment information and assist job seekers with one-on-one customized counseling. It will also operate the 'Visiting Saeil Center,' which offers one-on-one employment counseling to female job seekers by visiting lifelong learning centers, Yongin City Family Center, apartment complexes, and the driver's license examination center.

The city will promote customized job support by segmenting job seekers into groups such as youth, middle-aged and older adults, women, and vulnerable groups.

From this year, 'Work Bridge' will be operated to provide personalized employment consulting, including one-on-one aptitude tests and career counseling, to help young job seekers find jobs suited to their aptitudes. The city will also implement youth public internships, child care-child-university student matching learning support, and region-led youth job projects.

For middle-aged and older adults, the city will promote the 'New Middle-aged Career-type Job' project that utilizes the expertise of retired personnel with relevant experience or certifications, and operate lifelong education instructor training and multicultural family home visit instructor courses.

For female job seekers, the city will assist job searching through public jobs for experienced women, Saeil female internships, and employment support at the Women's New Work Center. For vulnerable employment groups, it will promote employment through senior jobs, Hope Dream jobs, self-support work, and jobs for people with disabilities.

A city official stated, "We will strive to discover various policies so that citizens can find quality jobs considering their characteristics and situations, and work hard to create differentiated job opportunities reflecting regional characteristics."
