The meeting was attended by eight current and former executives, including Ki Seong-min, president of the Seo-gu Home Daycare Center Association, and Baek Mi-kyung, president of the Seo-gu Private Daycare Center Association, who shared various opinions on the issues and policies of the childcare field ahead of the integration of childcare and preschool education.

The attendees stated, "Facing the major task of childcare and preschool integration, it was very helpful to have an opportunity to discuss the direction of childcare development together with preliminary candidate Yang Bu-nam," and added, "We ask for Yang Bu-nam’s cooperation in creating a high-quality childcare environment, and each association will unite to overcome the difficult situation."

Preliminary candidate Yang Bu-nam expressed, "Despite the difficulties and confusion caused by the decrease in the number of children due to low birth rates and the integration of childcare and preschool education, I deeply appreciate the dedication of childcare staff who steadfastly protect the childcare field with a strong sense of mission," and emphasized, "Childcare policy in the era of low birth rates is the responsibility of the state."

He continued, "Since the integration of childcare and preschool education is a major task ahead, I will carefully examine whether the opinions of policy consumers are well reflected and whether sufficient related budgets are secured when I enter the National Assembly."
