Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is operating a community volleyball class in collaboration with the women's professional volleyball team Pepper Savings Bank AI Peppers. Seo-gu announced that starting from the first session on the 17th, the 'Seo-gu Volleyball Class with AI Peppers' will be held every Saturday at 2 p.m. until April at the Gwangju Disabled National Sports Center Multipurpose Gymnasium.
This program is aimed at members of the Seo-gu Volleyball Association clubs, with Lee Seong-hee, the AI Peppers youth coach, participating as an instructor to help improve the skills of club members. Additionally, Seo-gu plans to operate a youth volleyball class for elementary, middle, and high school students in the district starting from the new school term in March.
Notably, AI Peppers have relocated all their facilities, including their home stadium Pepper Stadium, training facilities, team office, and dormitory, to Seo-gu. Since signing a cooperation agreement for mutual development with Seo-gu in October last year, they have been engaging in various communication and exchange activities.
On the 17th, Kim Yi-gang, the head of Seo-gu Office, who visited the volleyball class, said, “I hope that AI Peppers and the residents of Seo-gu build a deep friendship and trust, becoming the closest neighbors and friends to each other. We, the residents of Seo-gu, will support the AI Peppers players with passionate cheers so that they can do their best in every game and finish this season well.”
