Fire at Goyang University Hospital... Evacuation Commotion of About 190 People

A fire broke out at Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital, causing about 190 people to evacuate in a commotion.

According to fire authorities on the 17th, the fire occurred around 7:15 a.m. in a hospital room on the 10th floor of Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital in Siksa-dong, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang City, and was extinguished within about 20 minutes.

The fire was put out by hospital nurses, but a commotion ensued as 191 hospitalized patients evacuated.

Thanks to the quick response of the nurses, fortunately, there were no casualties. Fire authorities are investigating the detailed circumstances, reporting that the fire started from an outlet inside the hospital room.
