Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the 2023 academic year graduation ceremony of Hanguk Woojin School on the morning of the 16th and extended congratulations and encouragement to the 47 graduating students.
Hanguk Woojin School (Principal Lee Han-woo) is a national special school established in January 2000 in Jung-dong, Mapo District, for the education of students with physical disabilities. This year, it produced graduates including 10 kindergarten students, 9 elementary school students, 7 middle school students, 10 high school students, and 11 vocational course students.
At the graduation ceremony, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, awarded certificates of commendation to exemplary students and delivered a congratulatory speech to support the students' new beginnings.
In his speech, Mayor Park said, “I sincerely support your new future as you overcome your limits and achieve the milestone of graduation,” and added, “I also express my gratitude to the teachers and parents who have supported the students in every way to ensure their safe graduation.”
He continued, “Mapo District will do its utmost to ensure that people with disabilities can live happily and confidently as members of the local community.”
