"Uncertain Waiting and Difficult Human Relationships"
Actor Song Seung-hyun, formerly of the group FT Island, hinted at retiring from the entertainment industry.

On the 15th, Song Seung-hyun stated through social media (SNS), "I am leaving the entertainment industry to start a new life." He expressed, "I rarely use SNS and recently left my company, so I want to first apologize to the fans who have patiently waited through my long hiatus." He continued, "I am truly sorry and grateful once again to the fans who waited without any updates and for the lack of smooth communication."
He also shared, "After much contemplation, I have decided to leave the entertainment industry and probably leave Korea to live a new life." He indirectly revealed his struggles by saying, "It has been four years since I left the team FT Island and worked as an actor, and more difficult than new work or new environments were the uncertain waiting and human relationships that could come at any time."
He added, "No matter what I do, there will never be easy tasks or easy relationships, but I want to challenge myself to a healthy, regular new life where I can run every day for myself." He concluded, "I sincerely want to express my deepest gratitude to the fans who waited for me, and I hope everyone stays healthy and happy, both physically and mentally, as we live our lives together."
Song Seung-hyun was born in August 1992 and is currently 31 years old. He debuted in 2009 as the guitarist of the band FT Island. After leaving the team in 2019, he has been active in acting through musicals and web dramas.
