7 Programs Including Hobby Arts, Foreign Languages, and Curriculum Integration
Busan City Bansong Library will operate the 2024 first half lifelong learning program at Bansong Library from March 6 to May 25 for adults and elementary school students.
This program aims to provide local residents with opportunities for self-directed lifelong learning and to spread a culture of lifelong learning.
The adult programs include four courses themed around hobby arts such as "Emotional Moist Watercolor," foreign languages, and reading humanities. The program themes were selected based on a demand survey conducted among library users.
Additionally, to accommodate residents such as office workers who find it difficult to participate in daytime programs, evening programs are also scheduled to offer lifelong learning opportunities to more local residents.
The children’s programs include three courses such as "Fun TakTak TokTok Literacy!" The lectures are curriculum-linked programs in reading and English, providing children with diverse learning opportunities while supporting their academic studies.
Those wishing to enroll can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the Bansong Library website starting at 10 a.m. on February 20. Tuition is free, but textbook and material costs are the responsibility of the students. For more details, please contact the Reading Culture Department at Bansong Library.
Jo Su-geum, director of Bansong Library, said, “We hope this lifelong learning program will help develop the humanities literacy of local residents and improve their quality of life.”
