The non-profit housing welfare organization Korea Habitat is recruiting runners for the ‘2024 3.1 Run’ to improve the living conditions of descendants of independence activists. Started in 2021 and held annually on March 1st, the 3.1 Run is a donation marathon that expresses gratitude to independence activists and takes action to ensure their descendants can live in comfortable housing environments.

This year, 3,100 participants will be recruited. Participants can join the event by walking or running a set distance (3.1 km) at their preferred time and place and uploading a verification photo. Applications can be made on the Korea Habitat website, and the participation fee of 31,000 KRW will be fully used for the housing improvement project for descendants of independence activists.

On March 1st, singer Sean, the campaign ambassador, will run 31 km, and an offline event will be held where 1,000 selected applicants will run 3.1 km together with Sean. Additionally, people can participate through donations via the Kakao Together Value fundraising box, and runners who post a completion review of the 3.1 km run on Instagram or Naver Blog will be entered into a draw to receive gifts.
