Goryeong County Council Members Attend Group Screening of Documentary Film 'Geon-guk Jeonjaeng'

Members of the Goryeong County Council watched the movie "The Founding War" together on the 14th.

On the 15th, the Goryeong County Council announced that this viewing event was organized to revisit a historic event of the Republic of Korea and to realize the importance of the spirit of liberal democracy and the constitution.

Although it has been less than two weeks since its release, "The Founding War," a documentary film directed by Kim Deok-young, has attracted over 380,000 viewers as of the 14th, gaining great popularity.

The film covers the founding process of the Republic of Korea, shedding light on previously unknown records and reexamining figures such as the first president Syngman Rhee and other contemporaries, and is regarded as a movie that provides an opportunity to correctly understand our country's history.

Kim Myung-guk, chairman of the Goryeong County Council, said, "Just as an awakened people change the world, the reason why we need to take an interest in politics seems to be well expressed in the film."
