Kiwoom Asset Management Surpasses 100 Billion KRW in Default Options

Kiwoom Asset Management recently announced on the 15th that the assets under management (AUM) of its default option funds have surpassed 100 billion KRW. Kiwoom Asset Management's default option fund AUM currently stands at 101.4 billion KRW, ranking fourth among all default option fund managers.

Considering that none of Kiwoom’s affiliates operate as retirement pension providers, the company explained that achieving 100 billion KRW in default option fund AUM through its products and services is highly significant. Its affiliate, Kiwoom Securities, is not a retirement pension provider.

'Kiwoom Kiwo Dream TDF' is one of Kiwoom Asset Management’s flagship pension products. The Kiwoom Kiwo Dream TDF carefully selects excellent ETFs worldwide for ultra-diversified investment. With a low-cost, low-fee strategy and over five years of stable performance, it has been included in the default option portfolios of more than 30 retirement pension providers. Continuous inflows have pushed its total AUM to the 300 billion KRW range.

Among the Kiwoom Kiwo Dream TDF series, the popular Kiwoom Kiwo Dream TDF2030 ranks second in AUM among approximately 80 default option exclusive funds. Kiwoom Kiwo Dream TDF2030 consistently delivers stable performance even in volatile markets. As of February 15, 2024, the AUM of the Kiwoom Kiwo Dream TDF2030 default option exclusive fund is approximately 72.4 billion KRW, surpassing 70 billion KRW alongside Mirae Asset Strategic Allocation TDF2035 among default option funds.

TDFs have proven their performance in advanced pension markets such as the United States and have been included in the majority of default option portfolios, so TDFs are expected to solidify their position as representative pension products in the domestic pension market going forward.

Kiwoom Asset Management plans to continue strengthening its TDF lineup, including the recently launched Kiwoom Kiwo Dream TDF2055, to provide pension investment solutions that enable long-term global asset allocation from a lifelong perspective.
