SPSoft, which entered the KOSDAQ market through a merger with IBKS No.19 SPAC, showed strong performance on its first day of listing.
As of 10:27 AM on the 15th, SPSoft was trading at 12,850 KRW, up 2,760 KRW (27.35%) from the reference price.
Founded in 2013, SPSoft provides software solutions based on data connectivity and interaction technologies. It operates various businesses centered on Microsoft software licensing. The company counts major domestic corporations such as Samsung Electronics, Kakao, and SKT as clients, and holds a 70% market share in the domestic MS SPLA (Service Provider License Agreement) license market.
Up to the third quarter of last year, SPSoft recorded sales of 26.3 billion KRW, operating profit of 4.1 billion KRW, and net profit of 3.7 billion KRW.
SPSoft plans to use the listing funds to expand the licensing business of Microsoft’s generative AI-based software program, ‘Copilot.’ Copilot is Microsoft software integrated with the generative AI ChatGPT. Leveraging its dominant position in the MS software license market, SPSoft aims to take the lead in the generative AI market.
An SPSoft representative stated, "We will maximize sales of the MS software business centered on Copilot through differentiated data and network technologies," adding, "Once the ChatGPT-applied virtual OS, which is in its final stages, is commercialized, the virtualization business division is expected to accelerate its performance growth."
He continued, "We will leap forward as a comprehensive software specialist company by expanding sales of AI technology-applied solutions," emphasizing, "Starting from the listing, we will maximize synergies in network and data businesses with group companies such as Gabia and KINX."
SPSoft is developing Korea’s first virtual OS applied with Microsoft’s ChatGPT. The existing virtual OS solutions have rapidly expanded, with sales increasing by approximately 320% compared to the previous year, and the company explains that performance growth will accelerate by applying AI technology.
