Over 380 Products Up to 30% Discount
Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 15th that it has launched 'Edu Mall,' a campus closed mall offering ongoing discount benefits.
Edu Mall is a closed mall accessible only to prospective university students, university students, graduate students, and university faculty and staff, requiring verification through university email, etc. Here, over 380 products including laptops, tablets, and other electronics necessary for university life, as well as rice cookers and vacuum cleaners, are discounted by up to 30%.
By purchasing service products such as extended warranty insurance together, customers can also reduce repair and replacement costs for electronics. By paying about 1.4% of the product purchase price to subscribe to extended warranty insurance, customers can receive after-sales service (A/S) for up to 5 years on more than 20 items including refrigerators and air conditioners. For mobile phones, paying an insurance premium ranging from 22,000 to 98,000 KRW provides repair cost support for damage caused by breakage, fire, or flooding for up to 2 years.
By paying an annual fee ranging from 40,000 to 180,000 KRW, customers can also access an appliance replacement service that allows purchasing similar-priced products of the same category at half price within one year. Additionally, Lotte Hi-Mart plans to sell various package products such as engineering software and video editing programs.
Shin Hyun-chae, Head of the Smart Appliances Integration Division at Lotte Hi-Mart, said, “We have prepared a wide range of products from popular brands to cost-effective mid-range brands for university students considering purchasing electronics for a better university life. We also encourage purchasing service products that can reduce repair and replacement costs, so that from freshmen to job seekers and young professionals, they can use their electronics for a longer time. We ask for your great interest.”
