Receive Awards in Major Divisions Respectively

Korea Citibank and Citigroup Global Markets Securities received major awards at a ceremony hosted by a world-renowned financial magazine.

Korea Citibank announced on the 14th that it won the ‘Best Bank for Sustainable Finance 2024’ and ‘Best Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) 2024’ at the ‘2024 The Asset Triple A Awards’ organized by the financial magazine Asset. Citigroup Global Markets Securities was selected as the ‘Best Corporate and Institutional Advisor 2024,’ ‘Best Securities Advisor 2024,’ ‘Best Bond Advisor 2024,’ and ‘Best M&A Advisor 2024.’

Citibank was recognized as the Best Bank for Sustainable Finance for actively supporting corporate clients’ global business and new economy sectors, and for providing differentiated, customized financial solutions. It also received the newly introduced award for Best Bank for SME Finance this year, highly praised for restructuring its revenue model to directly nurture the SME finance sector.

The three categories in which Citigroup Global Markets Securities won are key areas of investment banking (IB), with its leadership in major mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and equity and bond issuances positively influencing the awards.

Asset annually selects outstanding financial institutions by country in the Asia-Pacific region, including Korea, through this awards ceremony. Despite an uncertain market environment influenced by high interest rates, inflation, and geopolitical instability, the awards recognized financial institutions that achieved meaningful growth for sustainable finance.
