On the 12th, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will conduct a comprehensive inspection of 192 public and open restrooms to ensure residents' safety and create a pleasant restroom environment culture.
This inspection targets 24 public restrooms and 168 open restrooms within the district, aiming to identify and improve issues such as ▲facility damage and prevention of freezing ▲operation status of CCTV and emergency bells ▲cleanliness of restrooms and availability of convenience items.
Additionally, starting this year, various projects will be promoted, including the completion of the Neoritjae Children's Forest public restroom, renovation of aging public restrooms, and expansion of support for restroom convenience items, to create an environment where not only visitors but also residents can use clean restrooms with confidence.
Im Taek, the head of Dong-gu Office, stated, "This inspection is being carried out to transform public and open restrooms into pleasant spaces, enhancing residents' convenience and strengthening safety." He added, "We will continue to do our best to improve the public restroom environment through consistent management."
