Daegu Dong-gu Office is recruiting applicants for the ‘2025 High-Efficiency LED Light Free Replacement Project’ for low-income households and welfare facilities vulnerable to energy poverty until March 8.
This project replaces LED lights for low-income households and welfare facilities. Over the past three years, 480 million KRW has been invested to replace about 2,800 LED lights in 160 low-income households and 38 welfare facilities. This year, with a budget of 100 million KRW, 500 LED lights will be replaced free of charge for vulnerable groups.
Residents (facilities) wishing to apply can do so at the local administrative welfare center for low-income households, and at the district office welfare department for welfare facilities.
Yoon Seok-jun, head of Daegu Dong-gu Office, said, “LED lights have a longer average lifespan and about 40-50% better energy efficiency than traditional fluorescent lights, greatly helping vulnerable groups reduce their electricity bills. We will continue to promote this project so that vulnerable groups can enjoy energy welfare benefits.”
