President Yoon said on the 10th, Lunar New Year's Day, "Although you may not be able to be with your loved ones right now, please take pride and satisfaction in the fact that because you are in that position, your families and all the people can enjoy the holiday."

The presidential office stated that President Yoon conveyed his New Year's gratitude and encouragement to the members of the armed forces who are dedicated to national defense on this day.

President Yoon Suk-yeol is encouraging soldiers during a visit to the front-line unit of the Army's 25th Division on October 1, 2023, in celebration of the Chuseok holiday and Armed Forces Day.

President Yoon said, "Dear members of the armed forces, thanks to your dedication, our people are able to welcome the Lunar New Year holiday with their families in peace," and added, "At this very moment, I express my deep gratitude as the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces and as a fellow citizen to the soldiers who are diligently carrying out their duties at the front-line fences, seas, skies, and overseas deployment sites."

He continued, "Although you are the head of a family, I would like to extend special appreciation to the commanders and senior officers who are caring for the units and soldiers at the front lines instead of their families at this time," expressing his gratitude.

President Yoon especially emphasized, "Providing appropriate treatment for the dedicated service of our armed forces personnel is the government's top priority," and promised, "As the Commander-in-Chief, I will spare no support so that the soldiers can fully focus on defending the homeland and protecting the people, and take pride in their duties."

Furthermore, he said, "Your pride is security itself," and reiterated his support by saying, "Once again, I send infinite trust to all our armed forces personnel who are devoted to national defense even during the holiday period and wish you success in the New Year."
