President Yoon Suk-yeol delivered a New Year's message to the nation in song on the 8th, ahead of the Seollal holiday, together with the presidential office choir "Ddaddeuthan Son" (Warm Hands). Unlike previous holidays, First Lady Kim Geon-hee did not appear in the Seollal message video; instead, presidential office staff participated.

The presidential office released the video on the day, stating that it was prepared to convey warmth of love to the people through cultural energy via song. The video featured not only the president and the choir but also the children of presidential office staff and aides.

In the video, President Yoon sang "Uriui Sarangi Piryohan Geujyo" ("Our Love Is Needed") together with the choir, directly conveying the vision of his administration, a "Warm Government," to the people.

During the choir performance, President Yoon sang solo the part "Apseoganeun Saramdeulgwa Dwieseo Oneun Saramdeul Modu Da Uri Deurui Sarangi Piryohan Geujyo" ("Both those who lead and those who follow, all of us need love"). He then said, "This Seollal holiday is one that needs love. In the new year, my staff and I at the presidential office will warmly look after each and every life with a heart that loves the people. Stay healthy always, and Happy New Year," delivering his New Year's greetings to the nation.

"Uriui Sarangi Piryohan Geujyo" is a song by singer Byun Jin-sub, performed last October at the Police Day ceremony by police officers and a children's choir. At that time, President Yoon remarked, "Extending a warm hand, as the lyrics say, is the essential role of the state."

The Seollal video was filmed over two hours on the 4th at Jeonghyeon-gwan on the first floor of the presidential office. President Yoon joked with the choir members, saying, "Isn't this fun?" and participated in the filming with a lively and joyful atmosphere. Notably, at the recording site, President Yoon spontaneously encouraged the chief of staff, policy chief, and senior aides to join the video, resulting in a warm video featuring even the aides, the presidential office said.

"Ddaddeuthan Son," led by Chief of Staff Lee Gwan-seop, was formed in November last year with staff from the presidential secretariat, security office, and security service. Their first performance was at last year's presidential office year-end ceremony, singing songs like "Uriui Sarangi Piryohan Geujyo," and they plan to begin external activities by visiting places in need of warm hands.

The choir's name, "Ddaddeuthan Son" (Warm Hands), was personally named by President Yoon with the meaning of extending a warm hand to citizens in need of national assistance. Meanwhile, First Lady Kim has not engaged in any official external activities for 55 days since accompanying President Yoon on his trip to the Netherlands on December 15 last year.
