The low-carbon diet campaign aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the entire process from production to consumption by expanding eco-friendly agricultural and fishery products. Since 2021, Korail Distribution and aT have promoted low-carbon diets to reduce carbon emissions to travelers during major holidays.

At the event, representatives of the participating organizations directly promoted the low-carbon diet to travelers visiting Yongsan Station and provided agricultural and fishery product souvenirs. Korail Distribution promoted the low-carbon diet campaign using digital advertising media at Yongsan Station and, in cooperation with aT, held an event at the Chandeulmaru store, which sells excellent products from local agricultural and commercial merchants, to pledge the practice of a low-carbon diet.

Meanwhile, Korail Distribution prepaid commissions for about 300 commercial facilities ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, following the same initiative during last year's Chuseok, to revitalize the small business economy.

Kim Young-tae, CEO of Korail Distribution, said, "Responding to the climate crisis through carbon reduction activities is also a responsibility of public institutions," adding, "We will continue to cooperate with related organizations to widely promote our agricultural and fishery products and contribute to establishing a low-carbon diet culture."
