Training Conducted for Local Subsidy Project Officials and Private Subsidy Project Operators
Enhancing Soundness and Transparency from Planning to Execution and Post-Management through Botaem-e...
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Kang-su) conducted training on the use of the local subsidy management system ‘Botaem-e’ for local subsidy project officers and private subsidy project operators on the 7th.
‘Botaem-e’ is a newly established local subsidy management system by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to ensure transparent management of local subsidies. It has the advantage of informatizing the entire process of local subsidy projects?from planning to execution and post-management?allowing all tasks to be managed in one place.
Until now, local subsidy projects were managed manually for each project due to the lack of a dedicated management system. However, with the launch of the Botaem-e system in January 2024, all local governments nationwide as well as private subsidy project operators will fully use Botaem-e.
Accordingly, Mapo-gu prepared this training to strengthen the capabilities of subsidy project officers and minimize confusion among private subsidy project operators. The training was conducted by the Local Finance Operation Support Group to help participants better understand the system.
The training covered the overall tasks of the local subsidy management system. For local government officials, the course included ▲basic grants ▲selection of subsidy operators ▲grant management, while for private subsidy operators, it proceeded in the order of ▲membership registration and organization management ▲application for public contest projects ▲application for project execution plans ▲execution management. Additionally, a Q&A session was held at the end of the training to address various questions.
On February 1, Mapo-gu established the ‘Subsidy Management Team’ within the Budget Policy Division through organizational restructuring to comprehensively manage local subsidy projects and ensure proper execution of subsidies.
Mayor Park Kang-su of Mapo-gu said, “I hope that through this training, the Botaem-e system will be activated and the transparency of local subsidies will be enhanced. Mapo-gu will continue to make every effort to establish a sound budget management system and prevent the misuse of local subsidies.”
