The Gwangsan District Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City carried out a three-day visitation from the 5th to the 7th to social welfare facilities within the district ahead of the major traditional holiday, Seol.
Council members visited 10 locations, including Sohwa Seong Family, Baorobil, Developmental Disabilities Day Activity Center, Hana Education and Culture Regional Children's Center, and Global Regional Children's Center, delivering consolation goods and extending warm holiday greetings to the users.
They met with facility staff to express gratitude for their dedication to practicing sharing welfare and to encourage their hard work.
Chairman Kim Taewan said, "Although everyone is going through a difficult time due to the economic downturn, it was meaningful to be able to share a small amount of warmth with neighbors in need ahead of the holiday."
