Operating Profit Increased by 15.9% Year-on-Year to 10.7 Billion Won
Kumho HT is showing success in overseas expansion, recording its highest-ever sales last year.
According to the consolidated results announced on the 6th, the automotive parts specialist Kumho HT posted sales of 364.3 billion KRW and an operating profit of 10.7 billion KRW last year. This represents increases of 31.2% and 15.9%, respectively, compared to the previous year.
A company official explained, “The expansion of overseas orders positively contributed to the performance through increased sales volume of key products and new revenue from supplying BMS (Battery Management System) PCB ASSY,” adding, “In particular, securing new customers and supplying products through the overseas subsidiary in India drove the growth in performance.”
Kumho HT’s sales in the automotive headlamp sector have also been steadily rising, and with the continued growth of emerging overseas automotive markets this year, the company expects an increase in the supply volume of its key products. The company is currently establishing a production line at its Indian subsidiary, founded last November, and plans to supply automotive LED module products to customers after setup completion.
Meanwhile, Kumho HT’s largest shareholder is the automotive electronics company Ecovolt, which holds a 32.27% stake. Ecovolt’s vehicle headlamp business has entered a stabilization phase, turning profitable through the third quarter of last year.
