Organized by the National Pukyong University GTEP Project Group (Director Ahn Tae-geon), this training, the first event of the project, was attended by about 80 students from two universities, National Pukyong University and Inje University.
The project group conducted trade practice and marine insurance education for students to nurture global talents equipped with trade theory and field experience, and explained the theory and practical programs of GTEP.
GTEP is a project promoted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to cultivate overseas regional specialized trade talents tailored to the needs of the trade industry.
National Pukyong University was selected for GTEP this year and will conduct industry-government-academia convergence trade practice and field training education for three years until 2026. To this end, more than 50 hours of basic education consisting of programs such as marketing and e-commerce theory and export-import simulation have also been prepared.
Ahn Tae-geon, director of the National Pukyong University GTEP Project Group, said, “Starting with basic education, we will take the lead in developing regional talents through nurturing trade experts, and continuously seek ways for regional specialized trade experts to grow together with universities, students, and companies.”
