On the 6th, Nam-gu announced, "We have completed a landscape improvement project at Nodae-dong Mulbit Neighborhood Park, installing a full moon sculpture, walking trails, deck line lighting, photo zones, and sunbeds," adding, "To share the joy of celebration with local residents, we will hold a nighttime landscape lighting ceremony."

The full moon landscape lighting ceremony will begin at 6:20 PM on the 8th at the outdoor stage of Mulbit Neighborhood Park, starting with a Samulnori performance by a pungmul troupe and will last about 70 minutes.

About 100 people, including District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae, local council members from Gwangju City Council and Nam-gu Council, and local residents, will attend the event. They will enjoy the beauty of the full moon sculpture, the first of its kind installed in a lake park in the Gwangju area, and celebrate together.

Nam-gu has accelerated the landscape improvement project at Mulbit Neighborhood Park to prevent safety accidents for residents using the park and to create a safe park environment even at night.

In particular, since November last year, with a project budget of 240 million KRW, the full-scale construction began, and within about three months, Mulbit Neighborhood Park with excellent nighttime scenery was completed.

At the center of the lake in Mulbit Neighborhood Park stands a full moon sculpture about 5 meters in diameter, displaying a mysterious elegance, while subtle-colored safety lighting facilities have been installed along the walking trails around the lake, enhancing its beauty.

Additionally, sunbeds have been installed under the shade of trees so that residents can relax leisurely and enjoy the view of the full moon over the lake park.

A Nam-gu official stated, "There were concerns about the dim lighting around the park's walking trails making users feel uneasy, but the landscape improvement has completely resolved this issue. Especially, the full moon symbol harmonizing with the lake surface will significantly contribute to revitalizing the surrounding commercial area."

Meanwhile, Nam-gu plans to hold a moon-viewing period program at Mulbit Neighborhood Park from the 17th to the 29th, about two weeks, coinciding with the upcoming Jeongwol Daeboreum (First Full Moon Festival). The program will offer various traditional full moon customs such as making wishes while looking at the moon and stepping on bridges.
