Lineup Including Lee Jung-jae, Song Joong-ki, and Director Park Chan-wook Revealed
35 Films, Series, and Variety Shows Led by Popular Sequels
Online video service (OTT) Netflix announced its lineup of 35 movies, series, and entertainment shows scheduled for release this year on the 6th.
Among the domestic original series are 'Sarinja Onangam,' which tells the story of an ordinary man who accidentally starts committing murder and the detective chasing him; 'Dakgangjeong,' a comic mystery chase about a father's struggle to get back his daughter who has turned into fried chicken; a story about eight people participating in a sweet but dangerous show where time accumulates money; 'Gisaengsu: The Gray,' depicting the battle between mysterious parasitic creatures and humans; and 'Hiraiki,' which unfolds as a transfer student with secrets enrolls in a high school, all arriving in the first half of the year.
In the second half of the year, titles such as 'Dolpung,' portraying the confrontation between those who want to root out corrupt massive power and those who oppose them; 'Amudo Eomneun Supsokeseo,' a mystery thriller about a pension owner whose daily life begins to collapse due to a suspicious woman appearing at the pension; and 'Trunk,' which starts with a secret marriage service revealed by a trunk floating on a lakeside, involving a man mistakenly born and the world's most unfortunate woman accompanying him on his last journey, will be released.
Sequels to popular works will also be released one after another. Season 2 of 'Ojingeo Game' (Squid Game), which caused a global phenomenon and was loved worldwide; Season 3 of 'Sweet Home,' showing the end of the monsterization incident and the beginning of a new humanity; Season 2 of 'Gyeongseong Creature,' depicting the ties, fate, and grudges in 2024 Seoul; and Season 2 of 'Jigok' (Hell), where new relationships entangle in an increasingly chaotic world, are coming. Korea's first global No.1 entertainment show 'Physical: 100' returns with the subtitle 'Underground' in Season 2; Season 2 of 'Zombie Bus,' expanding the fresh encounter between zombies and entertainment; and Season 4 of 'Solo Jigok' (Solo Hell), which heats up every winter, will be released.
Five movies will also be released. 'Logiwan,' depicting the attraction between Kiwan, a man who wants to live, and Mari, a woman who wants to die; 'Mudosil Mugwan,' an action drama film featuring the bromance chemistry between Kim Woo-bin and Kim Sung-kyun; 'Daehongsu,' an SF disaster film about the last day of Earth hit by a great flood; and 'Jeon,ran,' a drama set in the chaotic era of the Imjin War, adding battle and chase action.
Entertainment content is also diverse. In the first quarter, on the 20th, 'Seong+Inmul: Netherlands, Germany Edition' and 'Physical: 100 Season 2 - Underground' will be released; in the second quarter, PD Jeong Jong-yeon's new adventure mystery entertainment 'Mystery Susadan' and the reality show 'Super Rich Foreigners,' about the top 1% super-rich, will air; in the third quarter, influencer social survival reality show 'The Influencer' and the intense cooking competition show 'Mumyeong Yorisah' (working title) will come; and in the fourth quarter, 'Solo Jigok' Season 4 and 'Zombie Bus' Season 2 will be released.
