Wonju Aurora Golf Course to Open on the 1st of Next Month... 'European Vibe' Premium Public

Aurora World, a KOSDAQ-listed company, will unveil a premium public golf course infused with European sensibilities on March 1st in Wonju City, Gangwon Province. This is a creative project first attempted in the toy industry, reinterpreting the traditional concept of golf courses to offer golf enthusiasts a unique experience with distinctive characters and charm.

Aurora Golf Course is located in Guhak-ri, Sillim-myeon, Wonju City, Gangwon Province. It is a public golf course with 18 holes spread over a vast area of approximately 840,000 square meters. Since it is not a membership-based course, it can be used by more golf enthusiasts. Thanks to convenient access via the Jungbu Expressway and the Jungang Expressway, it is expected to provide a new experience for golfers from the metropolitan area as well as Wonju, Jecheon, and Chungju regions.

Aurora Golf Course boasts a classic yet sophisticated European-style design. Situated at the foot of Guhaksan Mountain, players can enjoy a fantastic skyline view along the valley and lake scenery from an elevation of 500 meters, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and mountain ranges. The well-maintained course and attentive service provide players with a special golfing experience.

The clubhouse features a design that modernly interprets the British Tudor Revival architectural style, leaving visitors with a vintage yet refined impression. A high-end chandelier made on Murano Island in Venice, Italy, further enhances the elegance of the clubhouse. Inside the clubhouse restaurant, a 24-meter-long media art wall?the largest among domestic golf courses?offers a special experience where visitors can enjoy various media artworks.

The course is strategically designed on flat terrain, allowing for unique and challenging play at each hole. The total course length of 6,486 meters (7,093 yards), which maximizes the natural terrain, harmonizes beautifully with nature. The Lake Course measures 3,229 meters (Par 36), and the Mountain Course measures 3,257 meters (Par 36), offering differentiated golfing pleasures. In particular, the Lake Course’s 8th hole, set against the stunning backdrop of Chiaksan and Gamaksan Mountains, is considered the signature hole of Aurora Golf Course. Additionally, with over 100,000 trees and various flowering plants, players can enjoy a golfing experience reminiscent of a luxurious European resort.

Meanwhile, Aurora Golf Course will conduct a soft opening starting February 16th ahead of its grand opening, intensifying final preparations.
