Jinju-si Holds Annual General Meeting of Women's Association Council This Year

Promoting Traditional Market Shopping Ahead of the Regular General Meeting

The Jinju City Women's Association held its 2024 regular general meeting in the cultural lecture room of the city hall, attended by Mayor Jo Gyu-il and about 30 members.

At the regular general meeting held on the 2nd, the 2023 audit and settlement report, the 2024 major business plans, and amendments to the bylaws were approved.

In particular, with the decision to extend the one-year term of the executives who were active in 2023, the Jinju City Women's Association is expected to operate more actively.

On this day, Chairwoman Kim Eon-hee said, "I thank the members who have been a great support to the Jinju City Women's Association through many events and activities over the past year. We will do our best to promote harmony among members and to enhance the rights and capabilities of women in Jinju City."

Mayor Jo said, "I appreciate the efforts of the Women's Association members who have always actively worked to improve the status of women, and I look forward to various activities this year as well."

Meanwhile, prior to the regular general meeting, the Jinju City Women's Association also promoted a shopping event to revitalize the traditional market for the Lunar New Year.

Chairwoman Kim said, "As a housewife who frequently visits the market, I hope this time can bring some vitality to the traditional market merchants who are facing more difficulties due to increased non-face-to-face consumption especially before the holidays."
