Gijang-gun Purchases Domestic Seafood at Gijang Market... Onnuri Gift Certificates Provided Gijang Market.

This event is hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and is conducted across 87 markets in 17 metropolitan local governments nationwide. Gijang Market was finally selected as a participating market through a selection process by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries upon recommendation from Gijang-gun.

The event will be held until February 8th from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at 35 stores within the market that handle domestic seafood.

During the period, consumers who purchase domestic seafood at the designated stores can receive up to 30% back in Onnuri gift certificates (with a limit of 20,000 KRW per person) based on their purchase amount. If a consumer purchases domestic seafood worth 34,000 KRW or more, they will receive a 10,000 KRW gift certificate, and if they purchase 68,000 KRW or more, they will receive a 20,000 KRW Onnuri gift certificate. However, the event may end early if the gift certificates run out.

A reimbursement booth will be separately operated at the north gate entrance of the main building of Gijang Market during the event period, where consumers can submit the phone number registered with their purchase receipt to receive the reimbursement.

An official from the county stated, “Since this event is prepared to promote the sale of our seafood for the Lunar New Year, we hope that customers will shop at the traditional market of Gijang Market and purchase fresh seafood together to enjoy a bountiful holiday.”

Gijang-gun is also making every effort to prevent imported seafood from being misrepresented as domestic by inspecting seafood origin labeling and ensuring safety accident prevention and management.
