CJ CheilJedang plans to donate all proceeds from the product sales to ‘Save the Children,’ an international child rights NGO.
Kim Suk-jin, head of the Bibigo group at CJ CheilJedang, said, “There were many difficulties in reproducing the ingredients and proportions of the dumpling filling, but it was possible thanks to over 10 years of accumulated dumpling research and development (R&D) know-how,” adding, “Because the recipe was painstakingly restored, it received great interest from consumers.”
Meanwhile, the client who sent the story to the ‘Nolmo Restoration Lab’ segment of a terrestrial variety show requested the restoration of the grandmother’s dumpling recipe, who passed away in October 2022. In response, the production team visited CJ CheilJedang’s Food Research Institute. Bibigo dumpling researchers studied the dumplings left by the grandmother and restored the recipe.
